Community Ambassadors

Volunteers are an essential part of the CSS Restorative Justice Program. Not only do volunteers assist in carrying out the program's mission, they also act as community ambassadors. As community ambassadors, volunteers help spread the word throughout the community about (1) what the Restorative Justice Program is, (2) why is exists, and (3) what it does.

Who can participate as a volunteer?

If you are between the ages 13-18 you can serve as a teen volunteer. After completing training, you can serve any number of positions such as Prosecuting Attorney, Defense Attorney, Jurors, Bailiffs, and Clerk of Court.

Adult volunteers are always needed for our Restorative Justice Program. Adult volunteers serve as Jury Monitors and Exit Interviewers after court is held.

When and Where is the Restorative Justice Program held?

Sentencing Circles and Teen Court hearings are held on the first and third Tuesday of the month, from 6:00pm until 8:00pm. YOU ARE WELCOME TO OBSERVE A SESSION BEFORE MAKING A DEICISON

How do I get involved?

It is easy! All you need to do is contact communities Supporting Schools at 919-735-1432 or email us at [email protected]
